Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Kevin Beliveau

PRESENT:

MEETING AGENDA: A motion was made by Jan Baldwin to approve the meeting agenda as stated; the motion was seconded by Alanda Barnes. All in favor. Motion carried. 

PUBLIC COMMENT:

CONSENT AGENDA- A motion was made by Alanda Barnes to approve the consent agenda as presented, and seconded by Jan Baldwin. All in favor. Motion carried.

D. Don Brannan from Stephenson, Gracik, and Co PC presented  2009 audit findings

PUBLIC HEARING: None
 
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Motion was made by Alanda Barnes to defer seeking millage for Senior Citizen Center for this year. Seconded by Jan Baldwin. All in favor.  Motion carried.
B. Motion was made by Jan Baldwin to approve resolution #2010-4.  Seconded by Barnes.  All in favor.  Motion carried. 

NEW BUSINESS:
A. Motion was made by Yvette Ramsdell to support the permit application made by Teresa Bush for Mai Tiki Resort and the APBA subject to notice from the local Coast Guard, Oscoda Township Police Chief, and insurance.  Seconded by Alanda Barnes.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS CONTINUED:
B. Motion made by Jan Baldwin to accept the bid from John’s Home Maintenance of $4625.00 plus $35 surcharge and cost for permit for the replacement of the roof on the DPW building located at 4280 Lamrock Way AuSable Township, seconded by Ramsdell . All in favor. Motion carried.

BOARD COMMENTS: Paul Mayville reported that he recently had the pleasure of going to the State Capitol.  He attended a Senate sub committee meeting with representatives of Oscoda Township to support the proposed golf course in Lakewood Shores in Oscoda Township.  Thanked the township board for allowing him to do that and hopes it helped to create a new golf course and destination and bring people up to Oscoda and AuSable.  Jan Baldwin reported that Harriet Ellwein contacted her regarding the beautification awards.  Citizens can suggest the names of people or businesses that should be considered for the award during May, June and July.  These suggestions can be made in writing and taken to the Township Hall.
