Charter Township of AuSable Regular Meeting March 15, 2010 Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Supervisor Kevin Beliveau PRESENT: Jan Baldwin, Alanda Barnes, Kevin Beliveau, Paul Mayville, Lynn Mitchell, Yvette Ramsdell and Mary Jo Samotis ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent, Mark Ritter PRESS COVERAGE: Manuela Kress OTHER’S PRESENT: Township Residents Pledge of Allegiance recited. MEETING AGENDA: A motion was made by Jan Baldwin to approve the meeting agenda as stated; the motion was seconded by Alanda Barnes. All in favor. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: * None CONSENT AGENDA- A motion was made by Jan Baldwin to approve the consent agenda as presented, and the seconded by Alanda Barnes. All in favor. Motion carried. PRESENTATIONS: A. Treasurer- Nothing at this time B. Clerk- Nothing at this time C. Superintendent- Nothing at this time PUBLIC HEARING: None OLD BUSINESS: A. Update on DPW meeting. 1. Plan to reduce street lighting- discussion only. 2. Response to Road Commission on 2010 road projects- discussion only. NEW BUSINESS: A. Consider agreement to collect summer taxes for Oscoda Public Schools-a motion made by Mary Jo Samotis to correct the address to 3550 E. River Road on the original document, approving Summer Tax Collection for Oscoda Area Public Schools, seconded by Alanda Barnes. All in favor. Motion carried. B. Consider ballot language and resolution for special fire millage renewal and senior citizens millage- a motion was made by Jan Baldwin to approve ballot language for special fire millage subject to attorney approval, seconded by Alanda Barnes. All in favor. Motion carried. Building Authority Senior millage will be brought back to the next meeting. Charter Township of AuSable Regular Meeting March 15, 2010 NEW BUSINESS: C. Consider approval of Chamber of Commerce banner schedule, a motion was made by Mary Jo Samotis to authorize Superintendent Mark Ritter to keep a calendar of groups requesting to hang a banner, seconded by Barnes. All in favor. Motion carried. BOARD COMMENTS: Mary Jo gave an update regarding the Coastal Coalition. PUBLIC COMMENTS: A resident asked the question, was their a difference in cost comparing turning off lights or removing lights? Supervisor Beliveau stated the cost.
