Charter Township of AuSable Regular Meeting / 2009 Budget Public Hearing

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. By Supervisor, Kevin Beliveau
PRESENT:
Jan Baldwin, Alanda Barnes, Paul Mayville, Lynn Mitchell, Mary Jo Samotis, Yvette Ramsdell and Supervisor Kevin Beliveau 
ABSENT:
STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Mark Ritter

OTHER'S PRESENT:
AuSable Township Residents, High School Students
Pledge of Allegiance recited.
Public Comments: 
* Congratulations to all board members who are in attendance tonight.
* Do not agree with the pay increases with the economy of this nation the way that it is.
Motion by Baldwin to approve the consent agenda, seconded by Samotis. Roll call vote. All in favor. Motion carried.
PRESENTATIONS:
A. Treasurer- Welcome Yvette Ramsdell to the Trustee position and Kevin Beliveau as Chairperson
B. Clerk- Nothing
C. Superintendent- Discussion on ORV Ordinance upcoming meeting with Jeff Matthews.

7:12 p.m. Motion by Baldwin to close regular meeting and start Public Hearing, seconded by Barnes- Roll call vote. All in favor. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: 
Frances Newman, 309 Church St, Oscoda, MI 48750 asked what pay the trustee’s receives right now. The rate is $62.40 and all other committees have different rates. 
Larry Baldwin, 4780 Johnson Rd, Oscoda, MI 48750 stated  
Dolores Svoboda, 3660 Rollin Hill Court, Oscoda, MI 48750 has it been made public knowledge of the raises in question. 
7:37 p.m. Motion by Mitchell to close Pubic Hearing and to go back into Regular Meeting, seconded by Barnes. Roll call vote. AH in favor. Motion carried.
AGENDA:
Motion by Mayville to approve 2009 General Appropriations Act/Budget which includes General Operations, Capital Outlay/Special Projects and to set Officials Salaries for AuSable Township, seconded by Barnes. Roll call vote: All in favor. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINES: Discussion on the condo campground issues (request ZBA meeting w/campground assoc.) Possibly in January
BOARD COMMENTS: Supervisor Kevin Beliveau welcomes Yvette Ramsdell to the AuSable Township board
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
Motion by Samotis to adjourn, seconded by Mitchell. Roll call vote. All in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
