Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor, Dan Hayes

PRESENT:
Jan Baldwin, Kevin Beliveau, Paul Mayville, Mary Jo Samotis, Lynn Mitchell and Dan Hayes.

AGENDA:
Motion by Mitchell to amend the meeting agenda to add balance sheets and revenue and expenditure to reports, seconded by Baldwin. All in favor. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

CONSENT AGENDA:
Motion by Baldwin to approve minutes from June 16, 2008, with the correction of the  public accuracy test to be held July 28, 2008,  at noon and July 7, 2008, minutes, reports and bills dated 07/08/08-07/21/08, seconded by Samotis. Roll call vote. All in favor. Motion carried.

C. Superintendent, Mark Ritter- By discussion of ongoing projects under “New Business”.

NEW BUSINESS:
A. New federal mileage rate update. 0.585 per mile is the IRS rate Effective July 1, 2008
B. Budget  Amendment Resolution # 2008-12, Motion by Mitchell to approve 2008-12 To Amend General Operation Budget, seconded by Mayville. Roll call vote. All in favor. Motion carried.

* Wayfinding signage project- Motion by Beliveau to approve up to $5,000.00 for AuSable Township portion for completion of engineering signage, seconded by Mayville. Roll call. Yea’s- Beliveau, Mayville, Mitchell, Samotis, Baldwin. Nea’s- Hayes. Motion carried.

1) Oscoda-AuSable Chamber of Commerce Memorial Golf Challenge invitation

BOARD COMMENTS:
* Trustee, Paul Mayville asked how do you change speed limit on a public road

PUBLIC COMMENT: 
* Resident replied to Mayville comment and stated that back about 1999-2000 he asked for a speed study to be done on Johnson Rd. that never was completed and there are always trailers and cars speeding.
* Letter to the editor implied that AuSable Township Board didn’t support the Jet Ski event. When in fact it was approved unanimously
