Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor, Dan Hayes

PRESENT:

AGENDA:
Motion by Baldwin to approve Meeting Agenda, seconded by Beliveau. Roll call vote: All in favor. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Opened at 7:03 p.m.  Closed at 7:07 p.m.
* A property owner stated it has been more than 60 days since he has requested to be put on the agenda.
* Would like to see the Burning Ordinance pass.
* Will public be able to speak on individual agenda items? Yes!

CONSENT AGENDA:
Motion by Mitchell to approve reports, bills dated 09/18/07-10/01/07 and the minutes dated 09/17/07, seconded by Barnes. Roll call vote. All in favor. Motion carried.

1) Coastal Grant Update- the Township was denied due to an abundance of applicants and was instructed to apply agian next year.

G. Outdoor and Open Burning Ordinance Number 97- Motion by Mayville to adopt Outdoor Burning Ordinance Number 97, replacing Ordinance 39, seconded by Baldwin. Roll call vote. Yea’s- Barnes, Beliveau, Mayville, Mitchell, Samotis, Baldwin. NEA’s- Hayes. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:
A. Ordinance Introductions.
1) Ordinance Number 98 Civil Infractions
2) Ordinance Number 99 Blight
3) Ordinance Number 100 Dismantled / Junk Vehicle
4) Ordinance Number 101 Regulate the Disposal of Garbage and Rubbish
B. Parks and Recreation Dedicated Fund Balance- Motion by Samotis to remove $705.92 for the Cemetery Historic Sign from the Unreserved Designated Fund, seconded by Mayville. Roll call vote. All in favor. Motion carried,
C. Purchasing Policy Resolution Number 2007-11- Table until next meeting.
D. ORV Ordinance- Sandra to contact Plainfield, Grant Township to find out if they are having trouble and  work with the Forestry Service so we can all be on the same track.
E. McQuiag Park- Discussion- Inform Oscoda Township that we are interested in this piece of property.
F. Correspondence
1) DNR Land and Water Conservation Fund Information and Discussion Sessions

BOARD COMMENTS:
* Feasibility Study has been approved for East Tawas Harbor
* October 13, 2007, is open house for the new bike path.
* Would like to see AuSable put up signs like Midland and East Tawas

PUBLIC COMMENT:

* Is there a Purchasing Agreement for the Township?
* Why hasn’t the Board adopted Robert’s Rule of Order?
* Complaint made that Superintendent is incompetent to perform her job, The property owner requested to go over his complaints with the Board. The Board instructed the property owner to put all concerns in writing and submit them to the Board.
