Charter Township of AuSable

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock.

PRESENT:
Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Beliveau, Barnes, Gary and Poland.

ABSENT:
None.

PRESS COVERAGE:
Holly Nelson.

Pledge of Allegiance recited.

MEETING AGENDA:
Motion by Kopko, seconded by Barnes to approve the meeting agenda with the addition of Assessor's class in Gaylord added under NEW BUSINESS.
All in favor, motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Mr. Newman asked about the guardrails again but Supervisor Lamrock hasn't had a chance to get in touch with the road commission.

CONSENT AGENDA:
Motion by Gary, seconded by Schweickert to approve the Twp. Board Minutes of 07-19-04; and authorize payment of general, water and sewer fund bills.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS (*-nothing new to report )

HOUSING STANDARDS/PROPERTY MAINTENANCE-REVIEW ORDINANCES:
It was decided that we need more time to review the ordinances and then we will have our attorney come to a meeting and discuss them.

The Supervisor is to go over the ordinance, bring it back to us, and then take it to Attorney Eppert for review.

HOBART PROPERTY SPLIT*

SENIOR CITIZEN MILLAGE REQUEST-UPDATE:
Motion by Gary, seconded by Beliveau that the Executive Committee is to review this request with Attorney Eppert to finalize the wording for the ballot proposal.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS

CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS:
Charter Communications sent a letter notifying us of the future rate hike, as required by the franchise.

ASSESSOR'S CLASS:
Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Kopko authorizing the expenditure of $150.00 registration fee, lodging, travel and meals for our assessor to attend a workshop in Gaylord on October 13th through the 15th, 2004.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

BOARD COMMENTS:
Supervisor Lamrock has set Monday, August 9, 2004 for a budget workshop.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.
