02-17-2004 Regular Meeting Charter Township of AuSable Meeting called to order at 7:00 P. M. by Supervisor Lamrock. PRESENT: Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Barnes, Beliveau and Poland. ABSENT: Gary PRESS COVERAGE: Holly Nelson Pledge of Allegiance recited. MEETING AGENDA: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Barnes to accept the agenda, along with the letter from Steve and Gaye Pappas concerning WWll Veterans Memorial Day. All in favor, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None CONSENT AGENDA: Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Schweickert to approve the 02-02-04 Twp. minutes; accept the minutes of 01-06-04 HSRUA, 01-12-04 Parks & Recreation, reports of police , sewer, zoning for January; authorize payment of General, Water and Sewer Fund bills. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS HARBOR HOUSE CHAMBER DIRECTORY RENEWAL: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Poland to take a full page advertorial ad in the Harbor House Chamber Directory, not to exceed $1,695.00 in cost. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. MDOT-SIDEWALK: The Supervisor said he would like to get the project finished, so he will approach Hunt Brothers to get revamped costs based on the letter from MDOT Alpena, and bring it back for discussion after he receives the estimatae. STEVE & GAYE PAPPAS-WWll VETERANS MEMORIAL DAY: Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Kopko to adopt the WWll Veterans Recognition Day proclamation as read. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. BECKETT & RAEDER-ZONING ORDINANCE PROPOSAL: The Supervisor presented the Board with the zoning ordinance proposal for review. Motion by Poland, seconded by Beliveau to forward the zoning proposal to the planning commission for their review and recommendation. All in favor, motion carried. WATER REPORT: The Supervisor presented the Board with the annual Water Accountability Report. BOARD COMMENTS: The Supervisor commented that he will be meeting with Fred Timlick on Friday to discuss which roads we will be fixing this year. The Treasurer reminded us of the Miss Iosco Pageant and said everyone is invited. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Larry Baldwin commented on WWll Veterans Memorial and said it was for one time only. Bill Brandt asked whether all the snow was causing maintenance problems or undue hardships on anyone. Was informed that there has not been a lot. He asked if we had any way to test house meters. The Supervisor said no but we just had new ones put in all over the township last year and they are guaranteed for 15 years. Mr. Brandt also asked if we have a place to set up an ice skating rink? The Supervisor told him we already have a nice one at Billy McQuaig Park. 3. ADJOURN: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Poland to adjourn, 7:47 P.M. All in favor, motion carried.
