Regular Meeting
Charter Township of AuSable

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock.

PRESENT:
Lamrock, Schweickert, Gary, Beliveau, Barnes and Poland

ABSENT:
Kopko.

MEETING AGENDA:
Motion by Gary, seconded by Barnes to approve the meeting agenda as presented.
All in favor, motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None at this time.

CONSENT AGENDA:
Motion by Barnes, seconded by Schweickert to approve the 01-20-04 Twp. Minutes and authorize payment of the general and water fund bills.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS

OSCODA TWP PUBLIC SAFETY COST RECOVERY ORDINANCE:
Supervisor Lamrock presented this to the board for reviewing only.  We are to list any questions or concerns we have and return them to the Supervisor so he can forward them back to Oscoda.




LUCKY CLOVERS 4 H CLUB REQUEST-SHORELINE PARK/HORSE TRAIL:
Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Gary to allow the Lucky Clovers 4 H Club to use the Shoreline Park and the Horse Trail on July 10th, if they clean up after their horses.

MDOT-ANNUAL USE OF RIGHT OF WAY RESOLUTION:
Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Barnes to read into the record and adopt the Performance and Indemnification Resolution from MDOT as presented.  Insurance must be requested.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

BOARD COMMENTS:
There was discussion on downtown traffic going from the 2 lanes to 1 lane being very dangerous.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Larry Baldwin asked if there had ever been an accident downtown where the lane narrows down and Holly said that Jim Kopko almost got hit in his own parking lot at Riverside Auto.

Larry also asked about the next meeting since it lands on Presidents Day.  He was told that the next meeting will be on February 17th because of the holiday.
