Regular Meeting
Charter Twp. Of AuSable

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Lamrock.

PRESENT:
Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Gary, Beliveau and Barnes. 

ABSENT:
Poland.

PRESS COVERAGE:
Holly Nelson.

Pledge of Allegiance recited.

Carol and Zack Ott were present from the high school.
Robert Stalker and Allan MacGregor were present from Oscoda Township.

MEETING AGENDA:
Motion by Kopko, seconded by Barnes to approve the meeting agenda as presented.
All in favor, motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Carol Ott asked about the clearing off Grass Lake road.

CONSENT AGENDA:
Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Schweickert to approve the 09-15-03 and 09-22-03 Township 
Board minutes;  receive the 09-03-03 Parks and Recreation minutes;  authorize payment of the
General, Water and Sewer Fund bills. 
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS

CONTRACTED SERVICES WITH OSCODA:
Robert Stalker and Allan MacGregor were present to answer any questions  about the  increase in costs in the police and fire departments.  They said this comes mainly from insurance and labor costs.  In 2004 AuSable's share will be 22.8%  ($181,852) for the police department, and 25.1%         
($49,940) for the fire department.

IOSCO COUNTY TOWNSHIP'S ASSOCIATION:
Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Beliveau to reimburse any board member for cost of meals and mileage to attend the October 16, 2003 ICTA meeting.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.
