Special Meeting
Charter Township of AuSable

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock.

PRESENT:
Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Barnes, Beliveau, Poland and Gary.

ABSENT:
None.

PRESS COVERAGE:
Holly Nelson.

Carol and Zack Ott were present from the high school.

Pledge of Allegiance recited. 

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None at this time.

The Supervisor presented a hard copy of the 2004 budget and it was discussed once again.

Everyone had a chance to ask any questions or make any comments.

2004 BUDGET:
Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Kopko to adopt the 2004 budget for AuSable Township, to include the compensation data sheet reflecting wages for employees.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

TAX LEVY:
Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Kopko to levy 4.6678 mills for operating purposes and .6500
Mills for fire purposes in AuSable Township.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried. 

Bob Stalker sent a letter to the township explaining about the police and fire funds. 

BOARD COMMENTS:
Mike Poland: Requested Mr. Stalker come here and explain about the police and fire. He said that he would understand it better. Supervisor Lamrock said he would ask Mr. Stalker to attend.

Matt Gary: Pointed out that several groups of individual volunteers were in the area this weekend for the BMX State Championship and noted that it makes a great economical impact on out community. Not just this event but others as well, and he thinks they should be recognized some way to show how much we appreciate what they do.

Supervisor Lamrock said the executive committee would work on a plan.
