06-02-2003 Regular Meeting Charter Township of AuSable Meeting called to order at 7:00 P. M. by Supervisor Lamrock.. PRESENT: Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Beliveau, Barnes and Poland. ABSENT: Gary. PRESS COVERAGE: Holly Nelson. OTHERS PRESENT: Students from the high school. Pledge of Allegiance recited. MEETING AGENDA: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Barnes to accept the meeting agenda as presented. All in favor, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None at this time. CONSENT AGENDA: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Schweickert to approve the township minutes of 05/19/03; receive the planning commission minutes of 04/23/03; and authorize payment of general, water and sewer fund bills with the addition of an expenditure of $1,576.34 in the water fund for health insurance. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (* - nothing new to report ) HOUSING STANDARDS/PROPERTY MAINTENANCE * ROAD POLICY * RETIREMENT PLAN * CHAMBER REQUEST * RETURNED PROPERTY * SEWER-IPP ORDINANCE * NSF/AUTOMATIC PAYMENT FEES * 2. MDOT RESOLUTION-UPDATE: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Schweickert to pass the Performance and Indemnification Resolution from MDOT as presented and read the document into the record. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Barnes to authorize the Supervisor to undertake the efforts to reduce liability language in the MDOT resolution. All in favor, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS USDA FOREST SERVICE-EASEMENT: Motion by Barnes, seconded by Poland to have the Supervisor sign the easement document with the OAHS and US Forest Service should time prohibit the board seeing the document before the next board meeting. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. SUMMER TAX ADMINISTRATION FEE: Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Kopko to collect the 1% administration fee for 2003 summer taxes. Roll call: Lamrock, NO; Schweickert, Kopko, Beliveau, Poland and Barnes, YES, motion carried. BOARD COMMENTS: Barnes asked when the Children's Park will be finished and was told "when it is safe". PUBLIC COMMENTS: Dolores Svoboda and her husband Gary complained about the recent rate hike in cable rates and was told that FCC handles that.
