11/18/2002 Regular Meeting Charter Township of AuSable Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock. PRESENT: Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Gaskell, Barnes, Beliveau and Gary. ABSENT: None PRESS COVERAGE: Holly Nelson Pledge of Allegiance recited. MEETING AGENDA: Motion by Gary, seconded by Kopko to accept the meeting agenda as presented. All in favor, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None at this time. CONSENT AGENDA: (Minutes Twp. 11/04/02 Huron Shores 10/01/02) (Reports Police, Water/Sewer, Zoning) (Bills General, Water, Sewer; Addition of Rob Eppert's bill in General Fund for $1,000.00) (Correspondence None) Motion by Gary, seconded by Beliveau to approve the consent agenda with Rob Eppert's bill. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (* - NOTHING NEW TO REPORT) WATER RATE CHANGE/ORDINANCE * HOUSING STANDARDS/PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ORDINANCE * ROAD POLICY * RETIREMENT PLAN * CHAMBER REQUEST * MASTER PLAN AGREEMENT * RETURNED PROPERTY * BIKE PATH * NEW BUSINESS FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Gaskell to send $125.00 to the Oscoda Township Fire Department for the purpose of covering cost of materials for fire prevention program for children. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. BOARD OF REVIEW APPOINTMENTS: Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Barnes to reappoint Maurice Rhoads, William Bellingham and Allan Mixter to the Board of Review for 2003/2004. All in favor, motion carried. 2. CHRISTMAS PARADE PERMIT: Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Gaskell to pass the performance and indemnification resolution required by MDOT for the purpose of issuing to a municipal utility an "individual permit for use of Standard Trunkline Right of Way. All in favor, motion carried. BOARD COMMENTS: Matt commented on our percentage in water usage. Bobbi commented on the success of the Halloween party at AmericInn. Ron commented that he has specs on children's park and will advertise for bids this week or next. Nancy commented that she will probably resign as she will be moving to Greenbush, but that is sometime away yet. Kevin asked if there is anything new to report on the Bike Path. Ron said he hasn't heard back from MDOT yet as to what they expect from us. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Larry Baldwin commented on the children's park. Ron said it is coming along slow but sure.
