Regular Meeting
Charter Township of AuSable

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock.

PRESENT:
Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Gaskell and Beliveau.

ABSENT:
Barnes and Gary.

Pledge of Allegiance recited.

MEETING AGENDA:
Motion by Kopko, seconded by Gaskell to approve the meeting agenda as presented.
All in favor, motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Larry Baldwin asked if we received a report on the Johnson Road traffic count that they did
some time ago. Supervisor Lamrock said we did not but he will check on it.

CONSENT AGENDA:

Motion by Kopko, seconded by Gaskell to approve the consent agenda and authorize payment 
for dinner, for any board member who wishes to attend the Iosco County Townships Association
meeting.     Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

WATER RATE CHANGE/ORDINANCE *
 
HOUSING STANDARDS/PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ORDINANCE - GRASS ORDINANCE:
Supervisor Lamrock is having a hard time getting the lawn cutters to give him a price based on the 
square footage, so what he is doing now is, when the zoning officer sends out certified letters, he is
sending the address to the lawn cutters and requesting a bid on that address. So far he has received
four bids so it's working out better this way.

RETIREMENT PLAN *

FOREST ROAD SPEED LIMIT SIGNS - UPDATE:
Postponed action on this matter until Matt Gary comes back and we can get his input.

NEW BUSINESS

NPP UPDATE:
Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Gaskell authorizing the Supervisor to send a survey 
letter to residents in the NPP district regarding sidewalks, and add a ten day response 
period in the letter.      Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

LIGHTHOUSE PROCLAMATION:
Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Kopko to accept the proclamation designating 
August 17th and 18th  as AuSable Lighthouse Weekend.
All in favor, motion carried.  

Ray Knuth was present to accept the Proclamation Plaque and in turn he presented
the township with a framed copy of the first postcard they are sending out regarding
AuSable Pierhead Lighthouse.
