RETIREMENT PLAN* NEW BUSINESS 2002 BUDGET CONTINUED: The Fire, Police, Street Light, Water and Sewer Fund budgets were completed tonight. Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Schweickert to hold a special meeting and public hearing on October 22, 2001 to review and adopt the Township's 2002 budget. All in favor, motion carried. NEW DPW VEHICLES Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Beliveau to purchase two vehicles, as recommended by the public works committee and purchase the 1 ton ford, not to exceed $32,459.40 and the 1/2 ton ford, not to exceed $20,144.50 from Dean Arbor Ford of Tawas City. Roll call all yes, motion carried. Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Barnes to advertise for sealed bids with right to refuse clause on the 88 F 150 Township Truck, and use blue book as our guideline. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Gaskell to partake in our annual fire safety and burn prevention educational program, and make a check out for $125.00 to the NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY COUNCIL, INC., and mail it to the Oscoda Twp. Fire Dept. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. CONDEMNATION RECOMMENDATION: Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Gaskell to move forward with the condemnation procedure at 209 S. State Street #021-530-000-026-00 and 387 S. State Street #020-003-400-002-20 both in AuSable Township. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. MTA CONFERENCE: Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Gary that any board member be allowed to go to the MTA Conference and register in advance, and that mileage, meals, lodging and tuition be paid. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. PORTABLE GARAGES: Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Gaskell to advertise that portable garage structures are not allowed under our ordinance.
