Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Clerk Schweickert.

PRESENT:
Kopko, Barnes, Gaskell, Beliveau, Schweickert and Gary.

ABSENT: 
Lamrock.

CHAIRPERSON:
Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Gaskell to have Matt Gary chair the meeting.  All in favor, motion carried.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  Recited.

MEETING AGENDA:
Motion by Gary, seconded by Beliveau to accept the meeting agenda as presented.  All in favor, motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.

CONSENT AGENDA:  
A.  Minutes - Twp. Board 07/02/01, Public Works Comm. 06/18/01.
B.  Reports - Police & Zoning.
C.  Bills - (General, Water & Sewer).

Motion by Gary, seconded by Schweickert to accept the consent agenda as presented.  Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:
A.     Road Commission Contracts:
	Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Barnes to approve the Road Contracts as presented.  Roll call, all 
	yes, motion carried.

B.	Compensation-Buildings and Grounds:
	Motion by Kopko, seconded by Schweickert to change the Dumpster Attendant's pay and salary him 
	at $153.00 per weekend, retroactive to July 1, 2001.
	Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

C.	Temporary Zoning Permit-AuSable Inn:
	Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Schweickert to allow the Zoning administrator to continue as he 
	has in the past and issue the permit for a beer tent and the noise ordinance be observed.  Roll call, all 
	yes, motion carried.

D. 	MDNR Trust Fund Application Update/Resolution:
	Motion by Gary, Seconded by Kopko to move forward with the application and adopt the MDNR
	Fund Resolution as presented.  Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

BOARD COMMENTS:
	Matt Gary wishes to extend a warm congratulations to everyone who participated in the canoe race, 
	saying "it was a lot of fun".

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Jan Baldwin asked about our burning ordinance, saying someone was burning garbage near their 
home.  She was told yes, we do have one.
