June 4, 2001 Regular Meeting Charter Township of AuSable Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Lamrock. PRESENT: Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Gary, Beliveau, Gaskell and Barnes. Ryun Ridgeway Presentation and D. Bike Path Grant under New Business. All in favor, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. RYUN RIDGEWAY PRESENTATION: Ryun Ridgeway, of the FIRST RESPONDERS, presented the Township Board with a plaque in appreciation for the donation we gave them toward the vehicle. They've had the vehicle about two months now and after the meeting everyone looked it over. B. PRELIMINARY METER CHANGE DATA: Supervisor Lamrock gave a report on the meter change data. No action taken. C. IOSCO COUNTY HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION: Michigan State University Extension is holding "Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days" on Saturday, June 9, 2001 from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Citgo Gas Station, corner of M-55 and M-65; and on Saturday, August 25, 2001 from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Public Safety Building Parking Lot, US-23 north of East Tawas. A list of hazardous waster materials can be picked up at the Township Hall. D. BIKE PATH GRANT: Supervisor Lamrock received a letter from Michigan Department of Transportation informing him they have funded the project in our community. BOARD COMMENTS: Matt Gary mentioned the web site should be added to out letterhead. He also mentioned mercury vapor lights vs. high-pressure sodium and he asked to have a no littler sign place on Forest and Johnson Roads. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Paul Darner was present to ask the board to take a serious look at dredging the river. He also complained about the speed on Forest Road.
