April 23, 2001 Regular Meeting Charter Twp. of AuSable Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock. PRESENT: Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Gary, Beliveau and Gaskell. ABSENT: Barnes. Pledge of Allegiance recited. ACCEPT MEETING AGENDA: Motion by Gary, seconded by Beliveau to accept the meeting agenda. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. CONSENT AGENDA: (Minutes 4/21/01) (HSRUA 3/6/01) (Police & Zoning Reports) (Bills - General, Water and Sewer). Motion by Gary, seconded by Gaskell to approve the consent agenda with the addition of checks 5975 and 5976 in water fund. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. Inoperable Vehicle Ordinance * G. Retirement Plan * H. Charter Communications Notification * NEW BUSINESS: A. 2000 Audit Presentation: Don Brannan of Stephenson, Gracik & Co. P.C. was present and gave a report on the 2000 audit which ended Feb 28, 2001. The public is invited to see the audit in the Clerk's office. B. Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000: Mr. Tom Burris, Iosco County Commissioner 2, spoke briefly on this matter and the Township Board will review it and get back to him. C. MTA 2001 Spring District Meeting in E. Tawas, Wednesday, May 16. Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Kopko to pay travel fee for any board member who wishes to attend the meeting on May 16. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. D. Letters of resignation from Cal and Lane Taylor for Parks & Recreation: Motion by Kopko, seconded by Gary to accept the resignation of Cal and Lane Taylor from the Parks & Recreation Committee and to place Janice Baldwin on as a member. All in favor, motion carried. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. E. Next meeting changed to May 8th, due to upcoming election: Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Schweickert to change the meeting to Tuesday, May 8th, due to upcoming election on May 7th. All in favor, motion carried. BOARD COMMENTS: Lamrock gave an update on the meter installation. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Larry Baldwin asked again about the speed on Johnson Road.
