Charter Township of AuSable Regular Meeting 12/04/00 Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock. PRESENT: Beliveau, Gaskell, Barnes, Gary, Kopko, Schweickert and Lamrock. ABSENT: None PRESS COVERAGE: Holly Nelson Pledge of Allegiance recited. ACCEPT MEETING AGENDA: Motion by Gary, seconded by Kopko to accept the meeting agenda as presented. All in favor, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA: Minutes-Twp. 11/20/00; HSRUA 11/07/00; WDC 09/21/00 Bills -General & Water Motion by Kopko, seconded by Beliveau to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (* = nothing new to report) OHS WATER/SEWER* WATER RATE CHANGE/ORDINANCE* HOUSING STANDARDS ORDINANCE* ROAD POLICY* AMERICINN PROPOSAL* GRASS ORDINANCE The Grass Ordinance was discussed but since Supervisor Lamrock didn't have time to call Marty Pack and notify him, it will be taken up at a future meeting. POLAND SUMMONS* COMMUNITY RECREATION PLAN: The Community Recreation Plan just arrived, so the Supervisor will give it to the Parks and Recreation Committee so they can review it. WATER STANDARDS: Both the resolution and the standards were discussed at length and changes were made in them. The Supervisor is to make the changes and bring them back to the Township Board. INOPERABLE VEHICLE ORDINANCE: Changes were made in the Inoperable Vehicle Ordinance and Supervisor Lamrock is to redraft it for the Board~s review. BIKE PATH APPLICATION: Motion by Beliveau, supported by Barnes to send in the application for the Bike Path grant. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS COMMITTEE STRUCTURE/APPOINTMENTS: Dale Burley had brought up earlier this year, the idea of performing our committee functions as a whole. Gary was in favor of sub-committees, saying we get a quick understanding of the issues, but when we send something to them we don't specify an agenda for them to do clearly. Supervisor Lamrock to look into the matter and get back with us. BOARD COMMENTS: Kevin Beliveau was concerned about the street lights being out from McKenzie to the bridge. The clerk to call in a repair order tomorrow. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Jerry Silvey-concerned about the safety of getting on the bike path (if we should get the grant). Jan Baldwin-concerned about the safety of getting on the bike path (if we should get the grant). Both were told that the people are doing it now, with no bike path to ride on.
