Special Meeting and Public Hearing 
Charter Township of AuSable

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock.

PRESENT:
Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Burley, Wassmann, Beliveau and Gary.

ABSENT:
None.

PRESS COVERAGE:
Jennifer Gowdecke.

Pledge of Allegiance recited.

MEETING AGENDA:
Motion by Gary, seconded by Kopko to accept the meeting agenda.
All in favor, motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None at this time.

PUBLIC HEARING-2001 BUDGET:
Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Beliveau to suspend the special meeting and open the public hearing.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

Mr. Darryl Hansen asked what kind of a long range plan we have to get more revenue. Mr. Hansen is on the Parks and Recreation Committee.

Supervisor Lamrock said short of millage or annual increase of property values through normal assessment measures, he has no plans to increase the revenue.

There was no one else at the meeting to comment.

CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING AND OPEN SPECIAL MEETING:
Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Gary to close the public hearing and open the special meeting.
Roll call, all yes, motion carried.

BUDGETS:
Dale Burley read why he voted no on the budget. Copy attached.

Motion by Kopko, seconded by Schweickert to approve the General Fund, Fire Fund, Police Fund, Street Light Fund, Water and Sewer Fund Budgets.
Roll call, Gary, Beliveau, Kopko, Schweickert and Lamrock YES;
Wassmann and Burley NO; motion carried.

Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Kopko to amend the water budget and add $ .10 to the Water Administrator #1 wage, making it $10.50 per hour. Roll call, all yes, motion carried.
