10/16/00 Regular Meeting Charter Township of AuSable Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Lamrock. PRESENT: Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Burley, Beliveau, Wassmann and Gary. ABSENT: None. PRESS COVERAGE: Jennifer Gowdecke. Pledge of Allegiance recited. ACCEPT MEETING AGENDA: Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Kopko to accept the meeting agenda as presented. All in favor, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA (Minutes Twp. 10/02/00 & 10/09/00; Planning 08/23/00 & 09/20/00; Parks & Rec. 09/25/00; HSRUA 09/05/00 & 09/18/00) Police-Sept. zoning-Sept.) (Bills-General Water & Sewer) Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Schweickert to approve the consent agenda and to authorize payment of Cal's insurance bill and we will amend the water and sewer budget by transferring money from the water legal line item #535802 to water BC/BS 536716. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (* = nothing new to report) OHS WATER/SEWER * WATER RATE CHANGE/ORDINANCE * HOUSING STANDARDS ORDINANCE * ROAD POLICY * AMERICINN PROPOSAL UPDATE: Gary Bartow was supposed to send a letter on this. Will postpone until a later date. GRASS ORDINANCE-UPDATE: Motion by Burley, seconded by Beliveau to receive the ordinance for study. All in favor, motion carried. POLAND SUMMONS * COMMUNITY RECREATION PLAN-UPDATE: Plans were received from McKenna Associates, Inc., Wade Trim, RC Associates, Inc., and Landplan, Inc. Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Schweickert to accept the proposal from Landplan, Inc. for $4,780.00, which includes all of Landplan's project labor, materials, and travel costs. Roll call, all yes, motion carried. WATER STANDARDS-DISCUSSION: There was discussion on water standards but no was decision made. Will take this up at a later date. INOPERABLE VEHICLE ORDINANCE-DRAFT: Supervisor Lamrock introduced a new Inoperable Vehicle Ordinance but no action taken. PROPOSAL 00-2: Motion by Burley, seconded by Wassmann to receive and study. All in favor, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS None. BOARD COMMENTS: Gary suggests reviewing an ordinance every month to bring them up to standard. Lamrock reports that Officer Wrona retired recently, so next meeting we will honor him and give him a plaque. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Roy Silvers reports that the vehicles are down to two now and they are putting up a privacy fence.
