02/21/2000 Regular Meeting Charter Township of AuSable Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Lamrock. PRESENT: Lamrock, Schweickert, Kopko, Gary, Burley, Beliveau & Wassmann. ABSENT: None. PRESS COVERAGE: Holly Nelson. Pledge of Allegiance recited. MEETING AGENDA: Motion by Beliveau, seconded by Schweickert to accept the meeting agenda as presented. All in favor, motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. CONSENT AGENDA (Minutes)(Reports)(Bills, General, Water, Sewer): Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Kopko to approve the consent agenda (Minutes Twp. 2/7/00; HSRUA 1/31/00 & 2/1/00; Planning Comm. 12/8/99; Police Report for January; Zoning Report for January; General, Water & Sewer Fund bills). Roll call: Wassmann NO, Burley NO on General Fund CK #17393, Water Fund CK #5560 and #5561 and Sewer Fund CK #681 & 682 and YES on everything else; Gary, Beliveau, Kopko, Schweickert and Lamrock YES; motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (*= nothing new to report) OHS Water/Sewer* North Pier Ordinance* Bicycle Path* WATER/SEWER RATE CHANGE/ORDINANCE UPDATE: Supervisor Lamrock reports that he spoke with Financial Advisor Tom Traciak and they reached the understanding that it would be okay to lower our sewer rates but still have to work on water report. PARKS COMMITTEE: Supervisor Lamrock reports that we advertised for volunteer members to form a parks committee. 6 applications have been received to date. The Supervisor recommends that if anyone knows of someone interested please give him a call. Page (2) 02/21/2000 Twp. Minutes NEW BUSINESS NEMCSA NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION PROPOSAL-Kathy Whitford: Kathy Whitford attended this meeting and explained the Neighborhood Preservation Program booklet to the board. The board will review program and next step will be to appoint a planning team of 3 to 5 or more. Must be ready to produce application for funding in April or August. Kathy pointed out that if the program is well received there may not be funding in August. POLICE MILLAGE-Bob Wassmann: Motion by Wassmann, seconded by Burley to postpone the police mileage issue until next meeting. All in favor, motion carried. CONDEMNATION COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT-Jeff Matthews: Motion by Lamrock, seconded by Burley to appoint Jeff Matthews as our condemnation officer for AuSable Township. All in favor, motion carried. TOWNSHIP ROAD MANAGEMENT CLASS: Motion by Schweickert, seconded by Kopko to pay $70.00 registration fee, meals and mileage for the Supervisor and other buildings and grounds committee members to attend Township Road Management class. Roll Call: Wassmann & Burley NO; Beliveau, Gary, Kopko, Schweickert & Lamrock YES, motion carried. BOARD COMMENTS: Matt Gary commented favorably regarding the Neighborhood Preservation Program.
